Kirkton Cottages
Listed as a Category B Listed Building, since October 1971.
An L-plan group of single-storey cottages and attic with a two-storey projecting wing. The building is harled and thatched in an English traditional manner. There are two dormer windows to the roof of the south elevation and five dormer windows to the roof of the east elevation. The reed-thatched roof, which is entirely netted, has a concrete ridge that extends below each of the five chimney stacks. The cottages show various vernacular influences including Devon thatch, crow-stepped gables and Cornish-inspired eyebrow dormer windows.
